| About the Game |
Devil May Cry 4 is an adrenaline-driven, graphics-blessed, action-filled game that features a non-stop hack, shoot n slash adventure in the epic battle of good and evil. Players in the shoes of Nero must fight their way against hordes of demons and unlock the truth behind Dante’s carnage of the order, and secrets of the order itself.
Yup, there's a new sheriff in town...
Nero's armory skills:
-
"Devil Bringer" Arm: Integrated into Nero’s right arm, its powers are a mystery even to Nero. However, this weapon is a very effective tool against his battle against demons.
-
Red Queen: Nero’s only sword. This weapon has a motorcycle handle that sprays flammable liquid on enemies when squeezed.
-
Blue Rose: Nero’s only pistol. This gun has two barrels that fire simultaneously, capable of piercing even the hardest armors.
-
The Exceed System: Allows Nero to charge up his sword giving him powerful attack options that are different when he’s at his normal state.
Dante's playable too even if the spotlight's not his' entirely this time:
Dante's armory skills:
-
Force Edge: Sharp and indestructible, this sword is a memento from his father Sparda. This was used to defeat the ancient evil Mundus.
-
Ebony & Ivory: Dante’s twin .45 caliber companion pistols.
-
Beowulf:
Double gauntlets and greaves that hold a flashing power to strike down enemies at close distance.
-
Active Style Change System: This allows Dante to switch between fighting styles and weapons on the fly, producing crazy combo possibilities.

A new way of upgrading – Leveling up is done through DMC’s traditional orb collection system, while weapons and abilities are upgradable with the introduction of the new "Proud Souls" system. Proud souls are rewarded at the end of each mission, depending on how “stylish” the players defeated enemies during the stage.
-
Old and new characters collide! – Joining Nero in his crusade against the demons is a wide array of non-playable characters, both old and new to the Devil May Cry series. Familiar faces from the past like Trish and Lady will be there, as well as new characters like Credo and Kyrie; a girl who plays a major part in illustrating Nero’s story in the demon-filled landscapes of Fortuna.
